about

The point of this recording was to capture the tune in it's earliest stages while we were still unfamiliar with it. First thing we did was set the mics up and hit record, then we finished wringting and arranging the tune. To make sure we captured the raw and shakey unsureness of it, once we got to the end of the song we stopped recording and went with that take.

lyrics

He never went to school in the fall
Never learned yet right from wrong
He got lost out on the road too long
Now I guess it's time to be moving on

He made his money selling coke and hash
To a group of guys under the overpass
Speed caught up to him real fast
Always knew he'd end up pushing grass

When the sun comes out tomorrow
(When the sun comes out tomorrow)
We all face a brand new day
(We all face a brand new day)
No need to beg or steal or borrow
(No need to steal from tomorrow)
We all know how to make our way

Her name was Penny, middle class
Got in my car wearing a baseball cap
She didn't know it was stolen cash
Now she'll learn the hard way..... the catch

When the sun comes out tomorrow
(When the sun comes out tomorrow)
We all face a brand new day
(We all face a brand new day)
No need to beg or steal or borrow
(No need to steal from tomorrow)
We all know how to make our way

Keep on rollin' through the aftermath
Of broken homes covered in welcome mats
Road maps and lighters fly across the dash
Too much, too hard, too fast

When the sun comes out tomorrow
(When the sun comes out tomorrow)
We all face a brand new day
(We all face a brand new day)
No need to beg or steal or borrow
(No need to steal from tomorrow)
We all know how to make our way

about

The Electric Grub Sydney, Nova Scotia

It's the smell in the air, the taste in your mouth, and the chill down your spine. The menacing soundtrack to your own form of debauchery. Deeply rooted in the industrial wasteland of Sydney, NS, emerged from the tar ponds: The Electric Grub. This revolving door of musicians resembles a dysfunctional family circus that comes from the twisted imaginations of Travis Morrison and Chuck Knott. ... more
